Japan

I can't seem to stop thinking about the 50 workers who are trying to bring the situation at Fukushima under control. From a normal pool of over 800 workers, 50 people are risking their lives to try and bring this situation under control.

  1. Super sad, and I couldn't imagine what the workers at the Nuclear plant would be going through many of them facing certain death not always right away but years later from radiation poisoning... all heroes. The Japanese are such beautiful people and it's really upsetting seeing some of the places I've been to so messed up by the quake and aftermath. Ordered the Shinjuku print for what it's worth...

  2. Hey Ben - thanks for the comment. I really love the Shinjuku print too, I look forward to seeing it on the walls of your developing gallery soon! Everything about Japan is so upsetting, but I imagine it must be very had when you've recently been to these beautiful places.

  3. Not hard for me at all considering the suffering (and knowing the Japanese, quiet, polite suffering/looking after each other) that is happening to anyone directly (or indirectly) impacted. But yeah it's super sad to think about people I met and the places I saw, especially in the countryside and people who live on the land/farms who live a simple beautiful life being impacted so dramatically.
